Ikea
Went to IKEA today for the first time in ages. I was thunderstruck by some of the prices!! It appears that the days of inexpensive purchases are over.
Some specials are still good. We bought 2 single bed frames for the grandkids @ $39 each. Couldn't get the timber for that price.
Funny though, the actual frame, including bolts, stays and metal rods for the bedheads were only $9.00 each. The Bundle of 15 slats was $30.00.
Given different circumstances I would simply have bought the frames and made the slats from my stock of scrounged timber.

I love the fact that you've put a thread on IKEA in "nothing at all to do with woodwork"
Cheers,
Jim
