Default What is the best media to sell a car.

Hi all, I'm just about to try and sell my 92 Vogue SE Range Rover which wont be easy because I dont recon there are too many buyers for this sort of thing.
So In this modern age of information dissemination what do you feel is the best way to get maximum exposure for a minimal outlay.

Bit of card, and parked by the side of the road is free.......probably not very successful, but you can't beat the price (and it sits there till you sell it )

Advertise it as 2002 model. Any thing later than that will be considered as a lie.

And can attract a fine from local council, who will do anything to raise some revenue.

Tried that Harry. Some Wally offered me $1,000 when I was looking to buy one of their new $40K + utes.
Don't think they wanted to sell me their car, must of looked too nice sitting in their showroom.

Wongo I'll have you know I'm a man of integrity.
Stuart, has anyone, ever bought a car that way?

HH Thanks just off to wash the guano off the car so I can takes some photos, I think I'll give that one a go..$20 you cant go wrong.

Stick it in general woodwork as a plane (comes with transport)and put a rusty #5 in the boot..... well.... You wouldn't want to sell it with a full tank I guess.

I sold our car and a tanker trailer through Ebay. Both sales were post auction!!

Give Ebay a go. My Tip is to have as low a starting price (reserve as you can). Heaps of photos, and details.

    Cheers

My policy is to go to redbook, go to the trade in prices for the car you are selling and advertise in the local paper at the top of the trade in price. That way you should get a quick sale as the price will be competitive and if you are buying a new one you can hit them up for a no trade discount.

Dont like the trading post as it often seems to me anyway that the buyers seem like tight wads for some reason.

    Gidday

Is a bit different I guess but I sold my bike through bikesales.com of which the equivalent is the link hammer posted. Sold my bike in 4 days n was wrapped.

You gotta remember though its a buyers market n always tough to get that elusive sale your genuinely happy with.

    regardless Good luck with it
