Default Sauce on the side of the road.

This morning going to the shop I saw cop car lights up ahead, so being the good girl that I am I slowed down, and because Im a sticky beak.

It was wet and slippery too..

Anyway there on the side of the road in a ditch was a car all mangled up, with a hores float attatched.

On the nature strip was a dead horse, presumeably flung from the trailer.

What do you think was towing this horse trailer with horse.
Something with guts, power, weights more than the load?

    Truck?
    Land Cruiser?
    Range Rover?
    Falcon?

    No, all wrong

The idiot was towing the loaded trailer with a Magna!!

mmm an expensive lesson for him ..... pitty the price the horse had to pay.

He should be done for unsafe driving and animal cruelty.

Crazy waste of life. Clearly these clowns should have chucked their horse in a lake to find out if it would float.

I see all sorts of idiots at horse events, what you see towing is incredible, one of the best to date was a 3 litre Pajero towing a three horse angle loader with 3 TB's.
My float weighs 920kg plus water and gear which would bring it up to the tonne, two TB's weigh 1500kg and my car is 2.2tonnes.
Electric brakes with a Tekonsha Prodigy proportioning controller and I still leave big gaps in traffic and don't go over 80kph unless on a freeway with little traffic.
When I brake, the whole lot pulls up but I still see galah's pulling the same as me with a Falcon or Commode which is far too light.
We got a raz a show once when we hooked up SWMBO's Starlet to the float, that was only because I went out in my beast to pick up a trailer and if you don't put something in front of it some wanker will park there and you can't get back in again.
A Magna was not a bad effort though, bet it was pushed off the road.
With effective braking you can legally tow 1.5 times the vehicle weight, I have towed three tonnes without any problems.
Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.
