Default Tall ships Race. 50th anniversary

Yesterday there was the start of the tall ships race from Torbay (Devon) to Lisbon (Portugal) and return to Belgium. It was the 50 th anniversary of this race but unfortunatel the bay was under a low depression and visibility was down to around 3 miles. Eighty ships are taking part in the race and I managed to catch a part of the fleet as per picture below.

I did intend sending you the Torbay web cam live link at the time but as mentioned visibility was impossible for the cam at the time.

Money on the house in the front of your shot, as it has more sail set than all them boats.

That would be a wonderful sight, to see such a collection of sailing ships under full canvas.

I love sailing, but you wouldn't catch me up on one of the yards though - and that's in calm conditions. Bugger that game in a full blow

Good weather today, plenty of visibility. Here is a BBC video link if interested.

I wouldn't mind having a go at a caldercraft wooden model kit of the Endeavour...the missus doesn't like the $500 price tag tho...
