    Default Branding iron

Has anyone made a small homemade branding iron for marking your work?
It would probably be about 1/2" square with just my initials on it. Anyone tried this?

Made one once for branding cattle. It was a beauty, but never used it! Just 5mm flat bar on edge. Grind the edges to mke the lettering more delicate. Should work the same for timber. You can heat it and burn it on or make it to be struck. All easy if you use angular letters or have access to Oxy for bending curves.
