Cutting very small pieces on table saw
G'day Mates
Sometimes I need to cut very small pieces for jigs or other things and instead of passing my fingers "very carefully" 2 mm from the blade, I made this simple thingy...
Hope that it will help you too
Regards
niki

Niki,
once again a simple but very effective way of solving a problem. I continually look for your posts and so far have never been disappointed. I'm actually planning to try the wheels that you put on your tablesaw sled as an addition to Rocker's tenon cutter that I am building.
cheers
Mick

Niki,
yep once again a beaut jig.
I must say that I cut tiny bits of stuff too, but I use a sled and a Grr-ripper. The Grripper holds both sides of the piece securely, and doesn't need any adjustment for differing thicknesses.
Someone round here's made some really nifty examples of home-built versions, which would work similarly.
Cheers,
P

Thank you for your kind words
Mick
My tenon cutter is also "rolling" (on the fence)
Bitingmidge
The Grripper is one of the things that I don't touch.
I made some home-made version, a year ago but when I tested it and my hand was over the exposed blade, I....well, I was lucky that I was wearing my brown pants that day...I "deleted" it from my jigs collection.
Here are a few pics of what I did
