Gotta love that steam. Anyone been on the wonderful steam ferries on Switzerland?

    Thumbs up Super

    Bob L,

This is a great story, and I have to agree there would be a few deaf old fellows there as pointed out by . Have you ever seen timber in long lengths milled such as was shown, it sure would be handy if one were building a house.

    Thanks for the story

    Regards Mike

    It's from here.

When you're viewing the picture, If you remove the parts of the address in your address bar, past the forward slashes / , then press 'go', it takes you to different parts of the host site.
If you remove everything past the first slash / it usually takes you to the site's main page.

    Cheers

B-b-b-but those timbers were huge!! 85 ft long is about 26 meters, in ONE hit! I didn't think there were any trees like that left inthe world that didn't have a commune of mad raging tree huggers chained to them.

And that's what I call a biiiigg bandsaw.

Have been through a few commercial sawmills but nothing like that for sheer size of the timber being handled. I wish there was a setup like it here in OZ, I'd be out there for a decko with the camera.

Great site, thanks for posting it.
    Cheers,

    Chris
