Groggy,
Thank you for the welcome. Bob M let me know of this Forum and he is right...there are some great posters and topics here. I will use the link...thanks.
And a bit of a commercial...woodshopdemos.com now has about 1800 pages of how-to's and 79 of those are on Festool products...and many more to come.
Here is the Festool submenu URL: http://www.woodshopdemos.com/men-fes.htm
In the Festool pages you will see these young assistants (is there a female bloke? Maybe, blokess?) Karla, Beth, Joslyn, Andrea, Elena, Jessica... who can tell me whom I left out?

Jessica When you get sick and tired of the mundane life in "Rhofe Island " you are more than welcome to come over to the beautifull sea side suburb of Mordialloc in Victoria, Australia. Apart from a spare workbench that is now reserved for you, you can also share my Domino

They'd be known as sheilas John. Blokes and sheilas (pron she-lars). They are more than welcome here too (stop pushing you lot, you'll scare em off!), ahem, anyway, lots of sheilas already here - so the more the merrier.
It looks like your site has gone from strength to strength. I've followed its growth for years and first heard of it in rec.woodworking a millennium ago.

General Caution.
Gents, personal attacks and threats (however subtle) will not be tolerated on this forum.
I had hoped these issues had died down but it seems they are simmering away still. Therefore I will watch and edit (read delete) as well as pass infractions if necessary.
The mention of pricing is acceptable in the manner presented, especially for comparative purposes. A dealer is the only one likely to know the price prior to release.
Some posts have already been removed, some edited. Tackle the issue and not the man please.

I have to deplore the bickering in this thread. In my view, it is quite unjustified. If people have personal vendettas, I suggest they confine them to private messages. I think it lowers the tone of the forum, if they are aired in public.

Buggar, I must have missed another stoush! Never mind, I can imagine what happened.
If my maths are right, it looks like $920US for the whole set, including cutters and dominoes (intro price). If someone posted this before, it's been deleted. Just for info mates, not stirring.
And Groggy's right, woodshopdemos is the bee's knees.Cheers,
Bob

Welcome John Lucas.
Agree agree agree.... John's site is such a fantastic reference place for both Festool and non-Festool users alike. Very few days go by that I don't point someone in the direction of http://www.woodshopdemos.com/men-fes.htm as well as keep a permanent link from Ideal Tools (it's at the top of the list of useful links) http://www.idealtools.com.au/webcontent8.htm
Enough back slapping, now what was the core subject of this thread again.....

Domino announced for April delivery in U.S.;
This morning, the Festoolusa website announced the introduction of the Domino this april. Price will be $660 during introductory period.
They have a few videos different from the ones on Ideal Tools in Aus, or Festool NZ. Here's the link-

Welcome John - I look forward to reading through your demo's, as I face a choice of tablesaw vs the 75 (I already have a bandsaw).
As to the deleted posts - darn! Missed it! Though I would support Groggy's comment about not getting personal.
As to the $ side - the introductory price for the kit is some 35% less than the purchase price here. It will be interesting to see what the 'real' price is.The only way to get rid of a [Domino] temptation is to yield to it. Oscar Wilde

First day available for ordering!! Pulled out the plastic, closed my eyes, and took the plunge. (Strewth, was that a pun?) Apparently I'm to get a free hat as well. Rather have a Foilie.
Ordered the set, with all the cutters, jigs, dominoes etc. Now, what shall I tell SWMBO? I'm thinking when it comes sprinkle a bit of dust on it, stuff it in the corner of the shed, and when she notices, remark "Oh, I've had that old thing for ages."
Won't be shipped for two months yet, but I'm in the queue.Cheers,
Bob

Aussie Bob I suppose the best thing that can now happen to you is when your leaving work tonight get hit by a truck and go into a coma and wake up on April 1 and get home and the Domino is sitting on your bench ready to go. It will then be just like getting it tomorrow
