But I have been bitten. Currently trying to decide what my next purchase will be TS55 or Fein Multimaster. Hmmm.

I am able to get the Festool TS55 EBQ-Plus Circular Plunge Cut Saw for $820 at the moment. Is this a good buy?

    Cheers,

    Red face

Is it just me or is the TS55 way more popular than the 75?

No, it's not just you. The TS55 is lighter, easier to handle, and cheaper than the TS-75. The down side is that it does not cut as deeply, but unless you are cutting 100 x 100 posts, it probably won't matter. The TS saws are not meant for rough site work but for breaking down sheet goods and precision ripping and cross-cutting. I have the TS-55 and am highly satisfied with it. If you mainly want to break sheet goods, you will be happier with the TS-55.

$820 seems a pretty good price if it includes the systainer and guide rails. Is that new? Does it include GST? Retail on the saw kit is $946 (including GST I believe). Talk to Anthony at Ideal Tools for all the options.

No, you are not an outcast.
    Cheers,

    Bob

The 55 is more for the ladies of the forum, but the 75 is great for the blokes who like some grunt. Aussie hardwoods need the power of the 75

The 75 is a knuckle dragger's saw, the 55 is for the true wood surgeons of the forum.
