Festool Drill Fault
I have a Festool portable drill which I have had for years. Recently it started to get hot and have that electrical burning smell when put under strain. Does anyone have a suggestion about repairing it? It seems to me that the repairs may get very expensive (freight to Melbourne from Adelaide plus quote charge etc). Is it possible to have it repaired by a non-Festool repairer?

no, i would advise to use a festool licensed service shop.
all parts will be genuine and unique to festool.
if it cost too much to get repaired, then you should look at ebay for the festool T15 drill.
there are some good deals to be had as people flog off their old ni-mh battery drills and upgrade to li-ion drills.
regards, justin.
