    I agree their are many better ways to stop bolts undoing than spring washers, but the original question was to solve an argument of where a spring washer should be placed.

    One could agrue that it doesnt matter where they go as they dont do what they say anyway I wonder if you use one each end if they will come undone twice as fast?
    As for the vibration test video, if we want to get picky. Bolts are used for clamping not location and not(if posibble) in single shear.
