This blade has 3 different teeth, a left bevel, right bevel and a clearer tooth (sort of like a chain saw skip tooth chain), just you can't see from all the crap over the teeth.
Oh good grief you are right Dont I feel stupid
Thanks all, I will reverse blade and try again, shame I have already done all the cutting I needNeil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

I have a Bosch Al cutting blade and have cut many metres of cuts in ally with it very cleanly and successfully.
The thicker the ally the slower it should be cut. If you have cut it right the swarf should be almost tissue paper thin and not stick to the blade. I've even cut 3" thick ally bar and 1/2" thick plate with a standard wood cutting blade (just make sure it is ally). A negative raked blade does a cleaner job and is safer because it won't pull the material into itself.
Except for plate where I lay a track of Wax along the cut line I generally use metho as it evaporates and leaves a clean surface.
Good luck!

I didn't like to comment about the way the blade was facing because you may have taken the picture from the back of the saw.
But really you are fortunate you didn't rip half of the TCT off the blade and had them fired at you.
As a lot of the others said with the saw being sharp you really don't need any lubricant to cut aluminium with a triple cut negative raked blade. I have been cutting aluminium shop front material for over 40 years with a triple cut negative raked blade with beautiful finish on the cut without any lubricant.
In fact I still have a non TCT aluminium blade for my saw but it needs the wax lubricant to stop the swarf from from clogging the blade.

The saw wasn't running backwards. It was just cutting with the back of the teeth, which is why it was performing below expectations

Ive cut a lot of alumiumn in industrial drop saws using a mist spray lube but i think a soluble cutting oil would be a lot of help, people building patios and stuff which is usually fairly light use bees wax. Cheers Bernie
