Need help to make replacement part for drill press
My old Hare & Forbes drill press has broken . The depth stop has cracked. (you would think that plastic would last more than 15 years )
I was wondering if there was someone in the Medowie/Newcastle area with a metal lathe that would have a look at making a replacement out of mild steel. Or if someone knows of a reasonably good machinery shop.
It looks like a pretty easy job.
Thanks
Lyle.

Hi Lyle,
I am sure there are people here local to you that could possibly assist you. They can't do it with out the specific details on the work required.
A photo or dimensioned sketch may trigger those persons to say they could do the work for you.
Without details, I doubt that many will raise their hands .

Thanks to Les out a Bobs Farm, my drill press is back up and a goer .
A bit of file work and some dodgey welding on my part and a smear of paint it works well. Should last another 30 years.
Who said we live in a throw-away society
Thanks mate, I hope the scratchies paid out.
I may take you up on the offer of some camphour logs.
Lyle.
