    Andre,
I was just looking at the first picture you posted of the Lathe stand and I think it would be beneficial to add at least 100kg of lead weights to the underside of the top. COZ it just ain't heavy enough
    Lol.
    Looking good Mate.

    PS.
Wish I could get off cuts like that for free

Here are the pictures. Even though I only roughly leveled the lathe is a carpenters level there is a huge difference in how straight it turns instead of .4 mm taper over 100 mm it now turns .06 mm over 100mm

Although I made one huge stuff up I made the stand 150mm too high It's the perfect height for my mate who's 6' 6" so I made a platform to stand on

It looks good and nice and solid. For the height, cut out those bits of flat bar across the bottom, then bring the feet threads through the top instead, that should fix it up with the minimal of fuss.
I feel a duck board is necessary in front of a lathe and mill for chips, so keep one there, but only have it 50mm thick or less to save the tripping hazard.

I lowered the stand and turned the old stand into a tool trolley complete with file rack

    Looks good Andre
I would just be worried about tripping on the feet, do they stick out as far as they look in the pic?
Having a mobile tool trolley is an extra bonus.
