Mini Dial Indicator and Magnetic Stand.
Not being in a position just yet to complete a 3 axis DRO I wanted to improve the accuracy of the quill when milling to a specific size.
I could have put on a cheap DRO but short on time to actually do it as I'm working on a current project. I tried using my existing dial indicator a unit on a standard magnetic stand but it was too bulky and cumbersome not to mention my magnetic stand although new is a pile of doo doo.
Hare and Forbes has 15% off mesumax products so I got my self a 0 to 5mm dial indicator and a single action mini magnetic stand. See below!
It works an absolute treat very easy to set up then remove and set up again if need be. Works very well in the confined space around the quill.
Cheers
Justin

I never got down to the sale, I suppose it saved me money and complaining. lol
Looks like a neat idea to get the accuracy.
Just a tip.
Just looking at the power board behind the mill. If the mill is plugged into it, it will be getting robed of getting full power. I found this on my mill as I had the mill, DRO, light etc plugged into a power board and after changing it over I could feel the difference.
