    Default Steam Buff Stuff

When I was in the Deutsches Museum in Munich I did take a heap of photos of the stationary steam engines. If there is interest I can post a selection. This is a Sulzer Brothers Precision Valve Steam Engine from 1865. Swiss.

Then there's always the tractors at the Czech National Agricultural Museum for those more interested in mud.

I don't think anyone would not want to look, or get tired of seeing machinery like that Bob, post away.

    One question Bob.
Why did you not take me with you?
I will settle for as many pics as you have though

I will get something underway tonight. There are also some detail shots of the locomotives at the National Technical Museum in Prague if they may be of interest.
I have an abundance of photos, my fear is you lot getting bored.

    Default More Sulzer Shots

The little Coolpix lens doesn't have a short enough focal length to capture some of the machines in their entirety. Vignettes will have to suffice. Sorry Fellas.

    Thanks BT for posting that,

What a beautiful machine, love those greek columns, are they doric or ionic? might be doric I think..

    Regards
    Ray

PS No shortage of torque either, 160 hp at 160 rpm must be 5252 foot-lbs of torque!!!!

Thanks Bob thats a superb example of workmanship as well as preservation. To think they designed built and operated it without the aid of computers, internet or a forum.

Bob are you still OS or home as having read about the present winter over there and seeing some of the snow and ice its bitter.

Doric, the most simple. Ionic has the scrolls like ram's horns.
