Swiss Quality Discount
Anyone got an reply email from these guys?
I'm looking at buying a couple of things. At first the cart says postage to au is $21, click checkout it goes up to $68.
I emailed asking about that and a few other things three days ago and havent heard from them.
Do I just suck it up?

I emailed them about 6 weeks ago regarding their Interapid DTIs. I never received a response. I sent a second email with the same question a couple of weeks later and also never got a response. It did not exactly fill me with confidence, so I purchased the items elsewhere. If you get a response from them let us know.

Stuart,
I was also hoping I was the only one. Now there's two of us. I really want a quality level and another DTI. I previously hunted around and did not find anything recent to suggest if they were OK or not. In the end Amazon served me up a new Interapid metric "big face" DTI for ~$150, which I could not refuse. I had to work for the shipping (free to a US forwarder and about $30 to get here). $180US later and I have a great DTI.
Are you willing to be the SQD mule and take one for the team eh?

Hi BT,
Yes I searched, I see Greg and Phil(and a few other I think.... memory is next to useless) are happy with the prices. I havent seen anywhere to beat them. Maybe I should google a little rather than just WWF and see.
Hi variant22,
They only take PayPal so I'm happy that I'd at least have a shot at getting my money back. So its just the extra $47 for postage...... not a show stopper unless I can find somewhere cheaper.

I indeed bought a few things from him, but it was several years ago. Communication was first class back then. I had two or three email talks with him after the item arrived. About he could market his stuff. I put him onto Prac machinist, and they canned him for Spam.
I just had a look at his contact us page:
By email at [email protected] (please include 'Swiss Quality' in the subject line to make sure your email will not by flagged by our antispam software)
He is a one man band. Maybe he has off to go skiing, being that time of year in Europe.
I did notice his feedback rating has slipped to 97.1%, and ratings of only 4 1/2 for communication, postage time and postage charges. Maybe he has slipped off the ball.
I think it was Peter H, who was looking at those Wyler levels, more recently, in the past year at least. Not sure if he went ahead with it. He might be able to give some recent feedback.
Regards Phil.
P.S Just found what I was looking for. He used the feedback I left and put it on his testimonials page. I'm the P.F at the bottom.

Hi Phil,
That may explain it.
I never saw "please include 'Swiss Quality' in the subject line " as I just replied to the registration email which has a subject of "Welcome to Swiss Quality Discount" and simply says
"For help with any of our online services, please email the store-owner: [email protected]".
I'll try again with only 'Swiss Quality' in the subject.
I havent been able to find his ebay listings.
Not in any great hurry so I can leave it a week and see if he comes home.
PM is interesting place to visit but I wouldnt want to live there hehe(not that I could keep up anyway)
Thank you
Stuart

If the numbers reflect how many of the boxes he has it would seem he will do very nicely(though who knows what he paid?) I thought he was up to something when I saw the keys were cut the same but he explains all that. though I cant imagen there was only one bank key, I would have thought it would get a lot of work. though maybe not?.. the things that turn up on ebay lol

Well I thought I bought a DTI and a 300mm Wyler level from him but after an hour of searching I can only find the level
Hopefully the DTI turns up or is returned before I need it
Over the course of about 2 weeks I sent emails inquiring about postage to no avail, I wasn't all that happy about it until I reread the web page and saw that you needed to include the 'Swiss Quality' in the subject line
Once I did that I had a reply within 48 hours from memory.
A few email went back and forth after that and there was no hassles with communication. My purchase was on 18th January 2012 so may not reflect the current situation but you will definitely need the correct subject line...
Jayson.

Hi Jayson,
Thanks for that.
Technically 'Swiss Quality' was in the subject line, though its yet to be seen if his mail filter agrees with me
38 hours to go, fingers crossed. I'll even give him the weekend off, so I'm hoping for Tuesday.

I sent my inquiries through their web form. If I recall correctly it does not have a subject line.
Good to hear you had a good experience with them Jayson.
