another chopped up finger
figure this is the place to talk about blood an so forth
7 to 10 years ago i was planing something on the durden when the dust shute clogged up so not thinking as thats how most accidents happen i shoved me hand up the dust shute to unclog it wothout turning it off . tugg tug tug onthe right index finger . need i go on . any way to day to save time was putting a particulary narly piece through a planer ,backwards and forwards without the safety gaurd ,planer grabbed the wood and spun it backwards with my fingers following . ah well least it was the left index finger this time with only minor laqcerations to one anlong side it .i might add no fingers were actually lost in this story .

I feel your pain. some times it happens and you feel a fool. I know i did when the jointer claimed half my little finger. you do get over it tho and just have more respect for the machines. I yet to use the joint since the accident. i can't bring my self to run wood across it now
