    Default A Couple of Cigars

Here is a couple cigars I recently made. The top barrels are red and blue Sheaffer blanks ( I love this stuff) and the lower barrel is a home made casting. Thanks for looking.

Nicely done. You home cast looks great too, no tube showing. Straight white pearlex?

I have something on the table right now that might catch your interest. There is one thing I want to practice abit first before I commit to it. Hopefully it will work out.

I see what you mean about the red and the blue blanks - those are superb. I like your casting as well. How do you prevent the tubes from showing?
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

Used white painted tubes on these.

I was wondering whether using white painted tubes gives a bit more pizzazz to these type blanks?

It probably does because if you use the standard brass, even if it does not show it will darken the background. Just have been using white on the ligher colored acrylics. Maybe one day I will experiment and try both ways and see if you can tell the difference.
