    Default Designer Pens Slipping

I have made 5 or 6 Designer Pens with kits from Woodturningz. After assembly, several of them slip when you turn the transmission to use the pen. I have disassembled 2, and replaced the transmission, and they slip too. They go together fine, good fit, etc. What I am talking about is after the pen is completed, and you take it out to use it, you turn the cap, and instead of the tip coming out it just slips around. Like the cap is not tight enough on the trans.
The slimlines I have made do not have this problem, Is there a fix?
I have tried the archives with no success.

Thanks!! Sorry if there is a previous thread on this I could not find

I like to use a dab of silicone instead, as it allows for easier disassembly should things gae aglay.

Just make sure you give it time to cure before taking it for a test run.
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

Where is the mechanism actually slipping? In the top of the pen , or the bottom? If it's in the bottom, then you should be able to 'screw' it out of the barrel. Then you can re-insert it with a drop op ca. If it's slipping in the top, then you can run a little around the inside of the tube. Re-assemble after the ca has cured. If it's still too loose, then put another layer on.
