A story anout pens
Several years ago I received a commission to turn 50 pens shaped like an old style Police truncheon (modified Baseball bat pens) and have them laser etched with the then Police Commissioners name the pens were presented at a South Pacific regional Police Commissioners conference.
What the Police Commissioner did not know when he received the order was there was a little extra involved in the finishing of the pens.
The family cat sleeps in the workshop and if I work late he gets cranky, I was out there late one night gluing the inserts into the wood my intention was to let the glue dry over night and turn the pens the next day.
When I went out in the morning to start work I found the blanks in the ice cream container where I had left them, except there was a clear smelly liquid as well, the cat had backed up and peed into the container.
I did the only thing I could think of and considering that I had been booked for a traffic infringement two days previously I carried on and the cops received their pens cat pee and all !!
I often wonder if any of the Police Commissioners that received the pens had the habit of sucking them !!
The cops were slow payers too.

I like it
Some People are like slinky's,
They serve no purpose at all,
but they put a smile on your face when you throw them down the stairs.

What a laughter!<O</O
As the police probably didn’t no the veneer of the wood, you might get another order with the specific request to turn them in Canfora Eucalyptus <O</Ohttp://www.la-truciolara.com/
La Truciolara is the workshop where I do my shavings.
