    Default My dream pen

Any one know how to make a pen like this Caran d'Ache Horlogerie 1010 Silver-Rhodium Plated Fountain Pen - Caran d'Ache cheaper than $20,000.00
I might have a go at something similar!!

Good luck with it. Looks like it would be a real challenge to replicate

    Thumbs up

I've seen that and several others of similar style advertised in "high end"magazines.

    Beautiful pens but the price!!!!

Can't imagine how they would be made. Need to visit the factory!

Our closest approximation would be a steampunk version of very thin watch gears
    cast in resin.

Now i know how it's done!!!

Think I'll give it a go!!

Love the cretinous comment about what it has to do with watches!!!

BTW John (Gawdelpus ) has made a steampunk watch gear pen. Get in touch with him. Always a very helpful young chap.

If you can do it,you will probably get a job with Carans. Good luck - lot of effort in it.

    Default What time is it

A nice pen no doubt but it would more impressive if it told the time.

Might want to check out Brian and Mark Gisi. They make spectacular pens and a few are similar.

Here you go, they are both members of the Penmakers Guild, father and son I believe.

    Pen Makers Guild

    Pen Makers Guild

I go to the Penmakers Guild every now and again and browse the wealth of images there.

I just Googled "Brian Gisi Pens" and "Mark Gisi Pens" in both Google and Google Images and got a lot of hits, should keep you busy for a while.
