El Grande/ Chruchill sections
Having just made a pen using one of these sections, I now want to make my own section but using the feed and nib from one of the El Grande sections.
Question is, how do they come apart? Tried to unscrew the feed like you can on a Baron and Jr Gent, but no matter what I try it won't unscrew.
Anybody done this?

Nib and feed do simply pull out of the section. You may need to pull pretty hard though. I had to reseat one once where the feed didn't line up with the centre of the nib properly
The other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".

Fred, they pull out--eventually-. usually the inside where the nib sits is not perfecfectly round, there is a flat portion that the bottom of the feed sits on. Amos

A pictorial tutorial
OK, some pics of turning a sleeve for an El Grande section.
As per above, the nib and feed come out with a bit of a wiggle and a firm pull.
You can then turn a sleeve from your own material to match the pen you aree making, or indeed contrast it.
