My first fountain pen
Well i got an order from a mate at work for a pencil and fountain pen set to give to his father for Christmas but i couldn't find a pencil to mach a fountain pen so had to go with a ball point and fountain.
He gave me some timber that he had collected from a tree at his house that he liked, i think it was a gum of some type but it had borers living in it. So i thought id leave a bit in one of the pens, don't know if it works or not?
cheers brad

Leaving the features in the material is quite often the distinguishing thing to do looks like you will make some person very happy with that pair although I suspect you have a fountain pen and rollerball set there hehe, cheers John
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

Nice start there Brad - if you increase the f.stop on your camera to around 10 then your depth of feild will improve & all of the pen will be in focus.

They work well Brad!!
Natural "features"are part of the history and add interest.

Often I go looking for the "defect" in a blank and figure out a way to work it into the pen, as stated, they add character and history to the pen, and can set the whole pen above the rest.
Nice work, but you need to set the f stop on your camera as closed as you can, maybe put the camera on a tripod...."That's why I love my computer,,,,,,,, my friends live in it."

Nice work Brad. Incorporating the defects has worked well.
