Default A few from the Gold Coast BBQ

Took my little Woodfast to the Gold Coast BBQ today and turned a few pens I had prepared and one John did. I didn't take my wetgrind, so I could only turn until the chisels were blunt

Three are Paua Shell stuck to the sleeve. Two of these are cut strips for a sheet, the other from shell chips, both glued with CA onto a black sleeve then cast in clear resin. I prefer the chips, I dislike the strip joints, they never meet well enough for me.

The other, prepared by John, is a SS cable cast in yellow tinted resin.

    Thumbs up

Yes folks, they are special pens indeed!!

The abolone in the middle is the best abolone I've laid eyes on.

The braided SS wire is a ripper.

    Congratulations and thanks Neil.

Well done guys looks as if I missed another good GTG.

My new shed is under way and will have a local GTG here when it is all up and running.
