    Default Iron Wood

My FIL is down from Darwin and gave me a far bit of iron wood most were intact but some not. He cut them from his block at Humpty Doo. This was sanded to 12000 then hit with spray resin 3 coats. The pen kit was from Brett (thanks mate). Any feed back welcome.

Aways a surprise result with these ,I have done a few courtesy of "Neil" but saving scraps of timber for the future hehe ! Well done as can be a bit of a challenge with "dissimilar" materials as far as finishing goes . Cheers ~ John

It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

did you use vacuum as well or just pressure

i am gaining a collection of burl cap pieces to play with, and i found some of what we called noggin nuts when we were kids (damn that was a long time ago), they look like little round pine cones, so i am going to try these as well
