Jnr Statesman Amboyna Custom Finials and Grip
This pen is Les' fault! he said he liked a custom grip and so do I, so set about doing one--but not without difficult learning curve; I think if I can make the whole grip from wood rather than take down the metal grip (and fit it inside a blank) it would be best, there is just not enough wood (meat) it has to be taken down quite thinly to be able to fit into the cap. Hence some special identification marks are seen! Amos

I have not been around for some time due to lack of shed time and other interest taking up my time.
First thread back I look at was the best looking Sierra ever and now this is the second thread I think I have some serious catching up to do.
Great looking pen Amos I love the grip idea but the pen itself is very nice indeed. Well done and great to see you still producing top shelf penCheers Rum Pig

Thanks for posting another inspiring pen. It's work like this that keeps this newbie pen turner motivated to learn more and aspire to such workmanship.
Cheers.

Looks great Amos. A bit of fine tuning with the fit inside the cap and you'll be on a real winner.
Well done Sir !!

Very nice, I agree with Rum Pig, it is a great looking pen anyway and the grip just makes it even more special
