Hello Dai sensei thanks for your reply, but I have found the missing piece, the chamber is plastic about 700mm long and 150mm in diameter the vacuum pump is 5cfm is that big enough for pen blanks ? john

Absolutely. My chamber is a similar size, and I use a 3cfm vacuum pump, to do pen blanks/pepper grinder blanks/small box slabs and knife scales (plus seeds/pencils and all sorts of odds and ends). The main thing is the vacuum the pump can achieve rather than the cfm.

Nice find! I am trying to figure out a vacuum setup that has enough height to deal with pepper grinder blanks in addition to pens, and from what I can see so far the the juiceproof containers are much better than the other options... And you don't seem to be able to get them in Oz anymore!
