    Default Great Pen

That is a great looking pen. I am new to pen turning and it will be some time before I even try something like that.

I hope I do not where out my welcome, but how do you do the enlay? I looks great. It is obvious that you are a master penturner.

I have a binder that I keep copies of things that I find of interest to me. If you have time to reply I would like to have this in my binder (notebook). Some things I feel that I am ready to do now, and others I am not at that skill level yet.

I also have a question. In a video that I have from BB he uses dental wax to cap both ends of the brass tube so that glue does not get in the tube. I have not seen where anyone else suggest this. I think that is a great idea, but the local dentist do not want to sell to the public. I was wondering if regular wax would do the same thing? I don't see why not. I know that the pen mill is supose to clear away any glue that gets in the tube, but the less you get in the tube the better.

Again, great looking pen. If I never make a dime doing this it worth every penny I have spent talking to the other pen turners and looks on the faces of friends and family I have given pen & pencils too.

If you feel the need to do this just use a potato to plug the ends, Cheap as Chips or fries to you

Ditto here, anyway good luck with your pens.

I didn't see BB video but lots of people say is very good ( BB is a very good turner and is a Master Penturner too ) pluging the end of the tube before gluing is depending the type of glue you use ( I use CA only ) lots of penturners in the States start with Gorila glue and to prevent glue in the tube you have to plug the end of the tube, because the glue expended when curing as you have to sprizt with water the inside of the pen blank, water and glue foam and make an very strong bond, I try it, I got a friend sending me a small bottle from HF, that why BB may plug the 2 ends of the tube check the video again and see if he use this type of glue. Pen mill is right to take glue out from the inside tube,

I think you can do like lots of peoples here in Australia, you got advantage on us by suppliers, here we are limited on pen kits, for me I buy all my pens kits from the States. thanks
