Default Use for left over wood scaps

I have often wondered what I could do with the off cuts from wooden pen blanks. After a visit to my local recycling center (dump) I thought I would make up some curtin cord knobs.

Not into curtins? I also make up pyrography wire burners by adding some stainless wire and metal crimps from the fishing shop (sold as wire trace).

Some guys like the wires a bit longer to "wrap around" the spinning wood, that sounds a bit hairy to me.

The banksia cone is the top of a walking cane (shillelagh style) and I used the pyro lines to "blend in" with similar lines on the top of the cane where it screws onto the knob.

    Great ideas!!

I use the old guitar strings(when I can find them) for burning lines.
