Hi Stirlo I have seen pens made from denim, corn cobs, string, home made resins, snakeskins, newspaper, Darley would be one of the best to talk to re snakeskins, and he was also trying toadskins. There is also deer antler, I am lucky I am mates with a guy who is in charge of the local zoo that has deer and I also have a mate that hunts. There is also shell casings that you could probably get from a gun club or buy a box of unprimed casings from a gunsmith. If you go to www.thepenshop.net register and search for Eagles photo gallery and look for his brite lite pen made from toothpicks. Also there is www.penturners.org there are some brilliant pen crafters out there Stirlo, Darley and Eagle I have learnt so much from them both because I listened to them both and have watched Darley turn which was fantastic.
