pen out of the wall
when i was making my new pen area i removed a section of wall that was part of my old dark room , and this arvo i was looking at some of the old cypress 3x3 studs that came out of the wall framing and i thought pen .
so i cross cut a piece of very dry old cypress pine wall stud ( about 16 years ago i built the wall the pine came from ) .and made a pen carefully.
i think i have a tiny teeny weeny hairline crack where i pushed the transmission in not sure even with a magnifying glass its hard to make out .
very dodgy stuff to turn when cross cut and dry
both pics the same pen very different look from each side .

Look's good to me Texx. I bet you are the type of guy while driving around you see a truck or ute full of wood and think I bet I can make a few pens out of that. Don't worry I do it all the time

great job mate, cross cut is always harder and weaker, but even the dullest wood has character when cross cut

Texx
Well seen and made it is indeed interesting from both sides kindof like life really.
.nothing will be safe near you until you realise you cant turn them all.
This one was a winner.
Regards Peter.
