Default Photo Album For The Markets

    Hey Guys

I got hold of this very cool photo album to use for the photos of the pens that I have made and sold to show at the markets

cool idea ian im thinking of when i get around to going to the markets doing the same kinda thing except using a digital photo frame powered by a small battery and a invertor as some people wont want to touch anything but will be able to see other creations made

You might want to do a series showing the steps in the making of a pen - Just so folks have some idea of the whole process and why the return on labour isn't really covered by the pen's selling price

When I looked at your album I had another thought along the same lines. With a Mac you can arrange your pictures and send them to Apple and they will send back a printed book. I think the cost might actually be cheaper than getting an album and factoring in the cost of ink and photo paper. I don't know if it would be similar in Australia and I would expect there are Windows products/vendors of some kind that would do the same.

My thinking about showing how the pen is made is to not do it because many will look at it and say to themselves "That looks easy and I can do that myself". No sale. As it is there are enough couples that walk up and while the wife wants to buy and the husband pulls her away muttering that he can make them cheaper. Sometimes the mystery of the artistry sells better that the knowledge of how it's made.

    Hey Sawdust Maker

Thanks for the feed back I have a story board that I am currently working on to show how the pen is made

    Hey QC

The photos dont cost much to get printed only 15c each so wont cost much to put it together as for the pen making process I think alot of people would or Auisse would be alot more will to part with their hard earned cash if they saw what gose into making each pen

I think the album is a good idea.
    Reality is no background music.

    Hey Ian,

When you have a break, sneak over the roads, OfficeWorks and Harvey Norman and also Retravision, they all have the Book option at their Photo Labs and are reasonable prices, I am thinking of doing much the same, to show the clients what can be done, The story board isn't a bad idea, but I reckon that there should be some Mystery to the process, the punters don't need to know all the secrets. I always tell people who ask, that it takes between 1 and 1 1/2hours from start to finish per pen. I don't mention that the bits for 1 pen costs about $10.00, but the tools and gear to make the pen Costs about $2000.00 (and Climbing) I would have a few bits of wood some finished and some raw, to show the before and after,
