Nice one! Is that a bright copper Sierra? Took me a while to warm to the Bright Copper Siera I had laying around in my shed, but now that I've used it and seen your pic I think it can be made into a very nice piece of kit.

    Good job

    Nathan.

    Hi Nick,

You will have to change your name now from
"Sawdust maker" to "Plastic particle producer"

    That's a good match!
Is the other side a different color or did it come out all as one?

Nice work Nick, lovely pen. Nice match of pen to blank.

NL I take it that is one of your home brews, excellent work

didn't make it. (I might, though!)

That's both sides - the colour goes all the way
thanks for the blank - I thought it was one of yours
If you look real closely in real life you can see bit of the tube, which is a pity

Thanks for all the comments everybody

As I said turned a lot different to wood, I ended up using the skew in scraping mode and got a long ribbon of plastic which wanted to wrap around everything

I think I can see why people like making their own - must be a real buzz in creating something from scratch and experimenting.

Hmm.. now I'm wondering what I sent you. Usually the molten metal is that color on
one half of the blank, but the other half is a blue/gray of a similar pattern.
