Default A few more Polymer Clays

Been playing with raw PC canes, much easier than the already baked ones. Just slice, add to the brass sleeve, bake, then finish with CA The women at work should love them

    Cheers
    Neil

Interesting! I like the casts, but i'm not sure the kits show them off very well.

A PC cane is like a small tube of plastercine with a pattern in the middle (see Google to know how to make them). You basically slice the cane into paper thin slices, then add it to your tube a slice at a time overlapping them, then roll your tube to make an even coat of PC (ie the slices then blend together). Alternatively for the hearts, you place a very thin layer over your tube, usinga pasta machine, then place the cane slices on top and roll as previousl.

After you are happy with the thickness etc, bake in the oven, let cool then finish with CA. No sanding or anything.

    Default Morning Neil

Looks as if you have a wrap on rolling. Cautiously I too would see the pen kit sometimes into Gold as well as Platinum or black. Pics great on the IA place.

When do you get some sleep?

    Regards Peter.
