?? Where to get good quality pencil kits ??
Made some slimline pen/pencil kits once and half the pencils didn't grip the graphite properly . Anyone know where I can get some better quality kits ??? - had a request for a couple.

Hi Texx
Timberbits carry a twist style sierra pencil kit. I've made one in the past and was happy. It uses a bit thicker lead than the slimlines as well.
cheers

One of the better pencil kits is the Perfect Fit, it accepts a Schmidt pencil cartridge which is very good quality. It also accepts a Parker refill, so it is easy to make a pen/pencil set.
The Cigar kit is also available as a pencil.

I agree with Wood Hacker sierra twist pencil from timberbits is the best.
I use mine a lot at work and find the control over your lead is fantastic were the click type you either get too much or too little.
They also make a nice set when matched with a sierra pen.Cheers Rum Pig

What's going on?
I mean TTIT venturing into the penmaking threads twice in one year Is global warming to blame or the financial crises
I've made a couple of cigar pencils from 043 etc etc and they have been great
I also like the perfect fit - nicely shaped pen/pencilregards

Thanks for the links guy's. Reckon I'll order a couple of the cigars - the Sierras look good but maybe a little masculine for her with those black sections.
Relly requests The niece that wanted the Fat Albert for her beau would also like a pencil with a bit of class for her musical meanderings - she's a double-bassist / teacher and just happens to be my favourite - what can I say

The Power pen and pencil is a PSI line kit, not sure if any available in Australia, I use these for a pen and pencil set when I need quality . I get them from here ! Unfortunately
I don't have any more in stock else I would send you one , If you like the idea of a thicker lead they also sell Clutch pencil with a 3 mm lead and a toolbox pencil with a 6mm lead ,I have some of these on the way so have a look and see if you would like one of those when they arrive . Hope that is useful to you ,cheers ~ JohnG'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!
