Queen Ebony blanks - free sample
I have some Queen Ebony pen blanks to give away. Please if you have already tried queen ebony, let those that haven't tried have them?
I have 6 - so it will be first in first served. I'll pay postage, although it might have to wait two weeks to actually send, as I'm now broke from paying for all this queen ebony! LOL
It's from the Solomon Islands, the people who sell it here are a lovely family - mum, dad, son, brothers, cousins, and this morning I met the youngest member - 6 year old grand son. Very cute
I have no financial interest, just trying to help them get the word out about this timber. After this if you want some you will have to deal with them. They send anywhere, all over the world.
PM me please

Les at Red Deer - I can't send you a msg, you don't have it on or something. Anyway, letting you know...
***********************
OK Les - it will get to you eventually! I will mail as soon as I can, but that might not be for 2 weeks, ok? Oh, don't answer! My mail box keeps filling up
I've covered it in wax, Brian said that if you aren't going to use it immediately to keep it inside as humidity - high or low - might lead to cracks.

I sent off 9 bags yesterday! I still have two to send, addresses I'd lost.
Hope you all get them soon. Remember if you aren't in Austraila - or if you are in WA, post is much, much slower.

I bought a small length recently at the Brisbane wood show, and it carved absolutely beautifully! Superb smooth finish, lovely colour, really enjoyed working with it. Can't say I've tried turning it, but the finish should be good.
Cheers,Andy Mac

i've turned a pen out of it. Turns beautifully, a little like lignum. Was gonna get a bowl done but our daughter decided to arrive on her due date so it's on the backburner for a little while. I went up before she was born to get some timber from the sitco boys and came away with quite a bit so stay tuned for future projects.

Despite tough head winds, the pigeons have delivered my piece safe and sound! Thanks so much ElizaLeahy!
