    Default slims for an order

had to make a couple of slims for a order over the weekend 1 blue acrylic and the other HRB damn i love that stuff , acrylic finished to 12k and the timber was finished using a new method that i learnt from doing larger stuff from guilio marcolongo it was finished with only 2 thin coats of CA then EEE then GLOW and the finish is amazing , very quick , cheap , and for those that have trouble with doing bulk coats of CA its simple
also included a closeup to show the amazing grain in it

great looking pens mate especially the HRB, never seen any up close but one day i am sure some will get lost in my shed along with all the other wonderful pieces of wood

i am interested to hear how your finish holds up, looks to be a bit more of a satin finish that straight CA, could be just the photo though

They look good Troy, I too am wondering wether the finish is more satin or gloss like. Can't really tell from the pics so which is it? And yes that HRB is tops.

it still has a reasonable gloss prob 80% , try it yourself and see even if you just get scrap wood turn round then finish it using that method
