Raked ceiling
Have had a look at a house for sale with a raked ceiling. What are pros and cons of this type of structure? Have read that changing lighting can be a problem? What about insulation?
By the looks of this house I would say it is a 70's construction. Can you check the roof structure with this type of build? Am ony familiar with the stock standard cult with a roof cavity, manhole to inspect. Would a building inspector be able to ascertain any problems with the roof structure?
Could you put in a new ceiling over the beams allowing a cavity for insulation and new lighting but still keeping the space created by this type of ceiling? Any advice greatly appreciated.
