Is my house safe?
Hi All
I was hoping to get some quick advise? I have recently moved to Oz from the UK & bought a Victorian terrace in Sydney. I had a building inpsection report completed & that was a total waste of time, seems most of them are from what I hear. The guy new sweet FA, & the report was full of statements such as 'need to consult with a qualified electrician, plumber, structual engineer' etc, etc.
Anyway, my query is that the wiring is such that the wiring (single twin & earth) comes out from the fuse board & runs straight to the back of the property, with junction boxes branching off that main line out to each GPO (also some juction boxes feed out to 2 or 3 GPO's). Is this correct to the wiring standards? :? & :o
I only ask as I know in the UK its a ring main circuit, whereby the wiring comes out from the fuseboard & then in & out of the GPO , & then in & out of the next GPO, and so on, once all GPO are wired, the out wire from the last GPO comes back to the fuse board.
Any advise is much appreciated.
Scott
