    Ooer! Nice!

    But there seems to be a lot of artistic finishes and sculpted/carved forms. Quite a few non-lignum items in there, too.

    The emphasis seems to be more on art, than woodwork or turning?
    I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

    There's been a drift in that direction over the past couple years, and some warm, if not heated, debates, too. But at least they start out with something round. Piercing, painting, and carving seem to have no other home than woodturning; similarly with Corian and other man-made materials, as well as alabaster.

    If it's any comfort, the AAW forum has a current contest/challenge requiring a uniform surface, with emphasis on overall form alone.

    In any event, it's all good brain exercise.
