3 acrylic box's
hello folks here are 3 new box's that i've turned today- i've struggled a little bit photographing these but i hope you get the idea of the shape and markings etc
these are all polyester resin- two are a blue and white swirl and the black one has some gold pearlex in it which looks great in the sun light.
they are all around 2" wide and between 1 3/4" and 2 1/4" tall

Nice ones and very interesting,
May I ask what speed you turn at when shaping these? Can the friction generated by the tool make the acrylic melt and the tool "stick" if too fast?
Cheers,

Thank you
Frankg: i dont pay much attention to speed- but i would guess i'm turning at about 1500 ish- the material and tool never get hot, mainly due to how gentle you have to be to stop it shattering- i use neg rake scrapers for most opf the time and a spindle gouge to rough out the interior sometimes.MY WEBSITE
