First two bowls
Here's a picture of my first two bowls produced on my new Jet lathe. Lathe arrived Friday, first bowl Saturday, second bowl Sunday. They are mahogany and tulipwood respectively. I'm not too happy with the mahogany one as the tooling marks are still visible inside, but the tulipwood one I'm happy with, even though in the photo it looks as if there is damage on the rim, it's just a trick of the light.
Here's a couple of my new lathe installed in the workshop... the tulipwood bowl can be seen in the cole jaws.
Cheers, Chrome

You're going to have fun with that lathe, oops too late, you already are.
But not your first lathe is it? (All the fancy tools give it away).Dragonfly
