    Default The Darwin Boys

These guys helped me get a few Gmelina logs when I revisited Darwin last month. the good looking one on the left is my twin brother, Geoff, (Enzo from Vermec cannot tell us apart) and the gentleman on the right was/is my turning teacher in Darwin (Ian Macraild). If any of you are visiting you should drop in and see Ian, he's a great turner, knows every local timber and generally has some in stock AND ALWAYS has the coffee pot on.

Never heard of Gmelina, Little Festo. How do you even pronounce it? Any pics of the finished timber or works?

Also, I would prefer Fengo, if there's a choice.

    Hi Pete

Great photo, but now you've let the cat out of the bag about another wonderful wood available to us Territory turners / carvers

I'll look forward to seeing the fruit from your labours

    cheers
