A death in the tribe.
I have just heard that Horst Welk, (a well known Victorian Woodturner) passed away in hospital last night after a long battle with a rare disease. He will be sadly missed by his many woodturning friends.
Our thoughts go out to his lovely wife Christa (another well known turner) and the rest of the family.
Heaven will be richer for his passing. The celestial hosts, will from now on, serve the cheese and bickies on Horsts beautiful jarrah burl platters.
So long Velkie.

I thoroughly agree with the sentiments expressed above by Neil Pauline & Doorstop.
Horst will be sorely missed by the Woodies who were privileged to have known him.
May I also add my condolences to Christa.

Christa. No one can truly understand how you and you family feel at this time. It saddens me deeply to have heard this news. Remember though that you have many friends. During this time, use them, they are here to help and that is all we can do.
Love, best wishes. Raymond.Regards Ray
