    What's the timber? i assume the cracks are filled with brass?

    thanks of the comments are very much appreciated .. the wood of the box is cherry, the cap is made of maple , the cracks are filled with a acrylic water paste ; I think is very interesting, it exists in all colors and absorbs very well the finish that I used (Shellawax) is called "Creme de Beton", I found it in a department store (named "OBI" ) but I think you can also find where they sell material from fine arts
