still learning
hey people
im still learning very slowly. my first project i made on the lathe is a paper towl holder for the kitchen. i sat there for ages trying to get it smooth but i cant. so i tried this talcum powder mix my uncle told me but it did not work. how do i get my work very smooth?JRobinson

Sandpaper and lots of it - go to Carbatec or Southside and get some of the good fabric backed stuff, not the crap that Bunnings sell.
Start at about 80 and work your way up to at least 800 grit.
