Thumbs up Showing your work - Results

Well everyone - I did it - I not only got the courage to enter a bobbin in the local show but also entered 6 of my husbands turned pens.

The judging was yesterday but the pavilion is not open to the public until this afternoon but I got a peak and ...... are you sitting down?

We won first and third in the class - Constructed Hardwood Article!!!

    What a buzz!

Well done to you both Jenny. I bet the buzz you both got from it has made the preserverance worthwhile. Great stuff, I'm very happy for you.

Would love to see some pictures when you have them back. Maybe take a pic of the display at the show for us to see too!

    Well done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ditto on the 'grats. You'll have to convince the other half to build a cabinet to hold next years' trophies...

    Wink The pics

These are the photos taken at the show today - I get to pick the items up tomorrow and will do better photos for the website. The first is the pens and bobbin turning by husband (3rd place) & I (1st place), the second is the 2nd place piece.

BTW for those of you who have been watching my progress on the site - the URL is http://www.brandis.com.au/craft/lace.html

After seeing this maybe we should have a forum where awards can be shown by forum members, awards etcNot as one upmanship but as appreciation and respect for those who are members of this forum and in a way our extended family to show their achievements .
Well done Jenny and though you couldn't make them with a plane I still appaluad your efforts and well deserved awards

From the pic it looks like the one that was on the RH side of the pic of all your bobbins, yes? No?
