Default Making Wood turning chisels - more

    Hei Guys,
I made small round nose scraper which I am rather impressed with, so while I was at carbatec this morning I bought a 300 x 6 x 20mm blank to make a bowl scraper.
The blank is 20mm wide which would mean a fairly large handle. Where the steel goes in the handle, can I take 5mm off each side and have 10mm width going in to the handle. If I can do this, how much steel do I need to have going in to the handle - is 100mm enough?
    Cheers
    Smidsy

Yes. Even 75 mm will be enough.
