My first attempt at a gifkins box
The main sections of the box are red cedar from Mackay. The insert in the top and the internal linings are huon pine. As this was my first attempt at the project I took my time - 35 hours in fact. Oil finished with two coats of organoil after sanding up to 1200 grit.

G'Day Budd,
I've pulled up a chair & will be watching for the photos with your notes.
I'm very interested in the "how to" as I recently got a secondhand Leigh Super Jig and haven't had time or been game to give it a go, yet.
Cheers, crowie

Great looking box,......oops, there isn't any photos yet.
Just joking, looking forward to seeing such as I also bought the Gifkin Jig around last October,
Paul
